One person
About me
I’m Valeri Getsov, the person behind Valisimo. You will talk to me and work with me directly.

Valeri Getsov
A one-person Shopify studio from Ruse
I have been selling online since 2010, and I have written code professionally since 2017. I built and ran stores of my own, including BMWParts.bg and VTULKI.BG. Today I work on Shopify projects for Bulgarian merchants and agencies.
I know both the technical work on a store and the everyday problems with orders, customers, deliveries and external apps.
Experience in development and online retail
I have worked both on the code and architecture of web products and on my own online stores. That helps me connect technical decisions with the work on orders and the catalogue.
Development
Professional experience with web and mobile applications since 2017.
2017 – 2019
Front-end developer
Responsive websites for Austrian clients, built for phones and large screens.
2019 – 2020
Angular and Ionic developer
Five hybrid applications, four of them published on Google Play.
2021 – 2022
Full-stack developer
Angular for the interface; Node.js, Express and MongoDB for the server side. Integrations with external systems.
2022 – 2023
Hybrid application developer
Angular, Ionic and TypeScript, including my own tools for automating development work.
2023 – 2025
Technical project lead
Leading two product teams on projects: planning, architecture, code review and mentoring.
Retail
Online retail since 2010, SEO at a marketing agency, and three stores of my own, two of which I sold.
2010
Starting out in online retail
My first online sales. Later I built my first store on valisimo.com. The store closed long ago, but I kept the domain, and today it is the studio’s address.
2017
SEO specialist at a marketing agency
At Netpeak I worked on technical SEO audits, optimising client websites, keyword research and recommendations for changes, including work beyond the site itself.
2020 – 2024
My own car parts store
I built bmwparts.bg from scratch and was responsible for the structure, the product pages, SEO, the content and customer service. I later sold the store.
2021 – 2025
My own accessories store
At vtulki.bg I was responsible for product decisions, the user experience, SEO, B2B and B2C sales, suppliers and the day-to-day running. I later sold the store.
2025 – present
Valisimo
Shopify only. Store development, optimisation and CRO, an SEO subscription, maintenance and migration. Separately, I show the real BMWParts.bg project and the demonstration using Valisimo’s own archive.
What this means for your store
Changes to the Shopify theme
I have written code professionally since 2017 and can work beyond the ready-made settings in the theme editor.
Connecting couriers and systems
I have experience with external systems and API integrations. With courier apps, I check the documentation and how they behave with different addresses and delivery methods.
A written quote before the start
The quote describes the work included, how it will be checked and the price of additional work.
Experience as an online retailer
I have years of experience selling online. I know the day-to-day accounting work, the orders abandoned when customers choose a delivery method and the cost of ‘just one more app’.
Where I come from
I have been selling online since 2010. Before Valisimo, I built and ran stores of my own, including vtulki.bg and bmwparts.bg, which I later sold. I have worked with OpenCart and CloudCart and know the problems that can come up when moving away from them.
I have also been on the merchant’s side. I know the orders abandoned when customers choose a delivery method, the day-to-day accounting work and the hidden cost of ‘just one more app’.
What I can show
BMWParts.bg is a publicly launched CloudCart → Shopify project with 180 migrated products, 179 publicly active, 408 redirected URLs and 114 collections by BMW generation. I show real pages before and after the migration, and how the OEM numbers, the catalogue structure and the old URLs were kept.
You can look at the store live and compare the CloudCart and Shopify pages. Separately, I show a technical demonstration using my own archive of the old valisimo.com store.
See the real BMWParts.bg projectHow I work
I work only with Shopify. I do not take on WordPress, OpenCart or a platform I do not know well enough.
There is no account manager between you and the person writing the code. You retain access and the documentation, and the code is in your repository. If you decide to work with another specialist, they will not have to start from scratch.
With agencies, I work on a white-label basis, jointly or through a referral. Confidentiality, communication with the client and responsibilities are agreed upfront.

Frequently asked questions
Who is behind Valisimo?
My name is Valeri Getsov and I am from Ruse. I have been selling online since 2010, and I have worked professionally in web development since 2017. I built and ran two stores of my own, which I later sold. Valisimo is my own one-person studio.
When is an agency a better fit, and when is an independent specialist?
If the project needs a large team and several streams of work running at the same time, an agency is the better fit. If you prefer one person to know the store in detail and to be personally responsible for the work, that is the Valisimo model.
Do you have programming experience, or only Shopify?
I have more than six years of professional experience with Angular and TypeScript, as well as with Node.js and databases. I have led two product teams on projects. That lets me work on the code of a Shopify theme, not only on its settings.
What happens to my store if you are not available?
You retain access, the code is in your repository, and the documentation goes with the project. If I am not available, another specialist can carry on with the work.
Do you work with stores across the whole country?
Yes. I work remotely and have experience with companies from Bulgaria, Austria, Israel and the United Kingdom. For Bulgarian stores, I work in Bulgarian and adapt the solutions to local couriers and accounting requirements.
