Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build an online store on Shopify?
Usually 3–4 weeks. The clock starts when I receive the product data, the photos and the copy. If the materials arrive late, the schedule moves by the same amount of time.
What do I need to prepare before the build starts?
I need product data in the template provided, photos, copy for the pages, a logo and company details, a bank account for Shopify Payments and a contract with a courier. You get the full list after the first conversation.
Do I retain ownership of the store and control over access after the build?
Yes. The Shopify account is in your name and you pay the subscription directly. I work with collaborator access, which you can remove at any time.
Are the copy and the photos included in the price?
No. The copy, product descriptions, photography and logo are prepared separately. If you need it, I can recommend a suitable specialist.
Will the new Shopify store show up on Google?
I set up the main SEO titles and descriptions and submit the sitemap to Search Console. Rankings after launch depend on the competition, demand and future content, so I do not promise any particular position or traffic.
What if I have more than 30 products?
First I look at the number of products, the variants and the quality of the data. A clean import is quoted as a fixed add-on, and data clean-up is €55 an hour excluding VAT. You get the exact price upfront.
My product data is a mess. Is that a problem?
The package takes data in the template provided. Cleaning and normalising it is a separate add-on at €55 an hour excluding VAT. I tell you upfront whether it will be needed and how long I expect it to take.
Who pays for the Shopify subscription and the theme?
You pay the providers directly, so the accounts are yours from day one. As of 22 August 2026, Shopify Basic costs €27 a month billed monthly and €19 a month billed yearly. The service includes setting up the theme, but not the licence for a paid theme. Before I install a paid app, you will know why it is needed and what it costs.
What does ‘one round of revisions’ mean?
You collect all your notes in one list and send them at once. If another round is needed, we first agree the scope, the price and the effect on the timeline.
