Conversation
We start with a free 30-minute online call. You tell me what you sell, to whom and what you want to change. I look at the public version of the store and assess whether Shopify is a good fit.
At the end you have an indicative budget and timeline. If Shopify is not a good choice for your case, I will tell you there and then.
You get
An indicative budget and timeline
I need
Your store URL and half an hour
- 02
Scope and quote
The quote describes the pages, products, integrations and rounds of revisions included. It also lists the prices of possible additions.
For a non-standard project, I first carry out technical research for €490 excluding VAT. The amount is credited in full against the project fee if you commission the project within 30 days. You get a technical specification and a fixed quote.
You get
A written quote and a fixed price
I need
Product data, and who makes the decisions
- 03
The work
I work in stages and show the progress regularly. For each round of revisions, you collect all your notes in one place so I can work through them in order.
If you ask for additional work, we first agree the price and the effect on the timeline.
You get
A test store you can open
I need
All your notes at once
- 04
Checks and launch
Before launch, we place an end-to-end test order. We check the store on different phones, the tracking and the analytics cookie preference.
We launch on a weekday morning, not on a Friday evening.
You get
A live store and a list of the checks
I need
Access to the domain and payment setup
- 05
After launch
Every project includes a support period after launch: 30 days for Start and Migration, and 45 days for Growth. For a migration, I monitor the redirects and technical errors for the first 30 days.
After that, you can choose monthly maintenance or continue on your own. You retain access and the documentation.

I need
Nothing. From here on, it is up to you.
How we avoid surprises during the project
Additional tasks, revisions and changes to the timeline are agreed before they affect the price or the schedule.
One round of revisions
All your notes at once. That way the changes build on each other instead of cancelling each other out.
Additional work is approved in advance
We agree the price and the effect on the timeline before I start the change.
Late materials push back the timeline
If the materials are delayed, the timeline is pushed back. The price stays the same.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build a Shopify store?
The Start package takes 3–4 weeks, Migration 3–5 weeks and Growth 4–6 weeks. The timeline starts when I receive the product data, the copy and the other materials needed.
How do I pay for a Shopify store build?
A deposit at the start and the rest in stages. For Start it is 50/50, and for Growth and Migration 40/30/30. The deposit is not refundable once the work has started.
What do you need from me to start work on the store?
I need the product data, the copy and the photos, access to the domain and one person who approves the decisions. If something is missing, we sort it out before the start so it does not hold up the work later.
What happens if the project is delayed because of me?
If the materials arrive late, the timeline is pushed back, but the price does not change. I will tell you as soon as it is clear that the delay affects the schedule.
Do you work with budgets under €1,690 excluding VAT?
Yes. A new-store project approved under the portfolio programme starts at €1,290 excluding VAT. For a smaller commitment, I can offer a Shopify audit for €290 excluding VAT or monthly maintenance from €150 excluding VAT.
When do you turn down a Shopify store project?
I turn it down when the budget is below the minimum, a guarantee of revenue is expected, there is nobody with the authority to make decisions, or there is pressure to skip the assessment before a migration. I would rather say so before the start than halfway through the project.
