For agencies and studios
The Shopify part, without hiring someone for it
I work with marketing, SEO and web agencies as a Shopify subcontractor. The client stays yours, the terms are in writing, and what I will not do is written down too.
The client sees you
Under a white label, the contract, the conversations and the invoice are yours. I am a collaborator in the client’s account and work from a brief that comes from you. There is no direct line to your client unless you open one for a specific project.
Three models
White label is what agencies ask for most often, but it is not the only way. We decide which of the three works for you on the first call and document it before any project starts.
White label
I work on the agency’s behalf. The client deals only with you.
- The client sees
- Only the agency. The contract, the communication and the invoice are yours.
- Commissioning and price
- The agency commissions me and pays according to the public price list. The mark-up is your decision.
A good fit when
You have a Shopify client but nobody to do the work. You want the technical work to stay under the agency’s brand. You want communication and reporting to go through you.
Joint work
You introduce me as the Shopify specialist on the team.
- The client sees
- You and me. I am responsible for the store, you for the marketing.
- Commissioning and price
- Payment goes through the agency or directly from the client. We agree this before the start.
A good fit when
The client wants to talk directly to the person working on the store. The project is long and the technical decisions affect the campaigns. The work continues after launch: maintenance, SEO, optimisation.
Referral
You put me in touch with the client, and I take on the project.
- The client sees
- Me. The contract is directly between the client and me.
- Commissioning and price
- If there is a referral fee, we agree it before you put me in touch with the client.
A good fit when
The project is outside your scope and you do not want to manage it. The client needs Shopify, and you do something else. You want the client looked after without taking responsibility for the timeline.
Terms for working with agencies
We agree in advance on communication with the client, access, the price, the timeline and how the finished work will be accepted.
01
I do not go around the agency
I do not offer services directly to your client. If they contact me themselves, I let you know and steer the conversation back to the agency.
02
I do not write to the client without permission
Under a white label, all communication goes through you. I contact the client directly only if that has been agreed for the specific project.
03
An NDA before any access
I sign a confidentiality agreement before I receive data, access or internal documents. We can use your template or mine.
04
The client retains access
I work as a collaborator in the client’s account. The code, the theme and the data stay with the client and the agency.
05
The same prices for everyone
Work is priced from the published price list. There are no hidden partner tiers and no price that depends on negotiation.
06
A written description of the work
Before the start, we write down the work included, the timeline and how the finished work will be checked.
07
Capacity is clear in advance
If my schedule does not allow me to take on the project, I will tell you before you promise the client a timeline.
08
A reply within one working day
On ongoing partner projects, I reply within one working day. For urgent cases, we can agree a shorter reply time.
How we start
We start with a short conversation and a limited first task. If the collaboration works well, we can move on to an ongoing partnership.
Step 1A short conversation
In 30 minutes we discuss what projects you take on, where you need a Shopify specialist and which way of working fits best.
Step 2NDA and framework
We agree confidentiality, communication with the client, how work is commissioned and paid for, and the reply time. If you have your own template, I work from it.
Step 3A first task
We start with a limited task and a clear result. That way we both see how the collaboration works before taking on a larger project.
Step 4Ongoing work
I receive a brief using a shared template and work in a test store or a separate theme, while you follow the progress and receive the completed work ready to hand over to the client.
What a partner project needs
What I need from the agency
One contact person, and the feedback collected in one place A brief using the template I provide: goal, scope, timeline and who approves Collaborator access in the client’s Shopify account Access to the theme in a repository or as a ZIP, if the project uses an existing theme The timeline promised to the client, and when that commitment was made Who handles communication with the client, and what language we use with them
What I do not take on
Under a white label, I do not take on communication and reporting to your client I do not promise a reply time I cannot keep as one person I do not work without an NDA and a written task description I do not take on paid advertising, copywriting, photography or branding I do not work on platforms other than Shopify I do not guarantee rankings, traffic or sales to your client
The prices are the same public prices every client sees: the price page applies to partner projects too. Payment follows the same schedule of stages, only between me and the agency.
Questions from agencies
Will you have direct contact with my client?
Under a white label, no. The client communicates only with the agency and signs the contract with it. I have collaborator access and work behind your brand. In the joint model, I take part in the conversations because that has been agreed in advance.
How am I protected against you taking my client?
It is written into the framework agreement. I do not offer services directly to your client. If they contact me themselves, I let you know and steer the conversation back to the agency.
Are there partner discounts?
No. Everything is priced from the public price list, and you set your own mark-up for the client. That way you can plan your quote on a clear and stable basis.
How much work can you take on?
I work on one large project at a time, alongside the ongoing subscriptions. We reserve the capacity in advance. If my schedule is full, I will tell you, instead of accepting a timeline I cannot keep.
Who answers to the client if something breaks?
Under a white label, the agency answers to the client, because the contract is the agency’s. I answer to the agency for the agreed work. Before the start, we write down the work included and how the result will be checked.
Do you work with agencies outside Bulgaria?
Yes. I work remotely and have experience with companies from Bulgaria, Austria, Israel and the United Kingdom. Project communication can be in Bulgarian or English. The language of the store and of the copy for customers is agreed separately.
Can you present me as a reference to your own clients?
Only if you have allowed it in writing. By default, I do not name agencies, projects or clients. It is the same rule that protects your client.
